Dan Hilbert
Founder and CEO
Dan Hilbert founded OrcaEyes in 2007 with the vision of helping organizations run more efficiently and productively through the use of workforce intelligence and planning. For more than 19 years, Hilbert has built and led Venture Capital backed software companies, some of which were acquired by CA, BMC and Legent. His experience in leading these companies is reflected in the rapid deployment and adoption of OrcaEyes software and consulting services by such companies as TowersWatson and BMC.
Having been hailed as Visionary of Workforce Planning by HR Magazine and the Bill Gates of Recruiting by Jobster, Dan Hilbert is indeed a trailblazer in the world of workforce intelligence. He gained his impressive knowledge of recruiting and workforce impacts while serving as Manager of Global Recruiting at Valero where he managed the organization’s hiring processes as the company grew from $2 billion to $95 billion in revenue. He did so by combining his extensive knowledge and experience in supply chain management with workforce planning and strategy. He then productized his ideas and analytics to form OrcaEyes’ flagship product SonarVision and has since been the recipient of multiple awards from industry analysts and media outlets.
Paul Davies
Chief Financial Officer
GM of the International Private Equity Practice
Paul Davies joined the OrcaEyes Board of Directors in 2009 with a focus on advising the company in areas of strategy and business development, product commercialization and distribution. He has held CFO positions in both privately held and publicly traded companies and brings an extensive understanding and experience of this role to OrcaEyes. He brings more than 20 years of experience as an investment banker and officer in the financial sector with personal involvement in over $20 billion worth of transactions. As a Director and member of the Deutsche Bank Australia Credit Committee, he has performed extensive work in project evaluation and developed a rich understanding of risk.
As a consultant Paul has worked with companies based in Australia, US, Canada, China, Malaysia, UK and Dubai giving him a broad base of international business experience. Industries covered by his activities include finance, IT, web services, consumer goods, telecom, technology, biotech and information services to name a few. In addition he has held board positions on both publicly and privately held companies. He has significant experience in business strategy, risk management, business development, corporate finance and asset disposal and acquisition.
Davies holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Monash University in Australia, has qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CPA equivalent) and is an alumnus of the Stanford Business School.
Chuck Bardwell
Chief Operations Officer
Chuck Bardwell began working with OrcaEyes as an external advisor in 2009 and officially joined the company as Chief Operations Officer in October, 2010. Bardwell is responsible for managing all "in-house" activities for the company and will be very involved in helping develop and execute our business and sales strategies. He will also be directly involved in business development activities and managing key client relationships.
Bardwell began his career as a consultant with Hewitt Associates and was later appointed vice president and national defined contribution practice leader for A.S. Hansen. During his career he was responsible for managing the San Francisco office for Hansen, the Minneapolis office for Mercer and ended his career as manager of the south Texas region for Watson Wyatt. In these roles Bardwell was responsible for managing all P&L, staffing, business development and client service activities which will serve as great background for his role at OrcaEyes.
Bardwell has extensive experience consulting to and managing large client relationships including AT&T, HEB, Apple, Medtronic, Sears, Memorial Hermann Health Care System and many others. He is married and has three grown children and two wonderful grandkids. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Hastings College.
Brad Hilbert
Chief Technology Officer
Brad Hilbert joined OrcaEyes as Chief Technology Officer in 2007 and leads development of the Sonar Vision product suite. With more than 12 years in both Information Technology Security and Software Architecture. Prior to OrcaEyes, Hilbert played a dual role as leader of the IT security team and as a senior product architect for an online insurance enrollment suite. High liability and HIPAA/SAS70 compliance requirements led to high standards regarding best practices in the areas of security and data processes. In addition, he led the development of system management software for massive Dell hardware implementations for public and private sector organizations.
Hilbert’s software suites have been implemented at a deep and broad pool of organizations, including Dell, United States Navy, United Healthcare, Superior Energy, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Farmers Insurance, Verizon, AETNA and more.
Lori Morgan
Vice President, Marketing
Lori Morgan joined OrcaEyes in July 2010 and was appointed Vice President of Marketing in September 2010. In this position, she plays an instrumental role in the development and execution of OrcaEyes branding and messaging strategy and also oversees the sales function. Prior to joining OrcaEyes, Morgan spent several years with a Dallas-based talent management software company where she served as Director of Strategic Alliances and held marketing responsibilities. In her role, she helped the business nearly triple its size in revenue by developing key relationships with partners, building the company's brand, and gaining exposure for the firm amongst industry influencers.
Morgan has also consulted to small, growing businesses in the talent management space to help build their promotions strategy and gain exposure. She has also worked for software organizations in the space, owned her own retail business, and marketed not-for-profit and telecommunications start-up firms. She has successfully launched business initiatives in more than 30 national markets and helped companies quickly gain market share. Morgan holds a Bachelors Degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at Arlington and a MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Gus Bigos
Vice President, Consulting
Gus Bigos joined Orca Eyes in 2011 as Vice President of Consulting. He is responsible for developing and managing relationships with channel partners and key clients.
Bigos began his career as a pension actuary, and then expanded into account management at William M. Mercer, winning multiple awards from one of the firm’s largest clients. He specialized in establishing and maintaining client relationships; interpreting financial results, facilitating senior management decision-making, and developing professional staff. After more than 20 years at Mercer, Bigos moved to Saratoga Institute, where he consulted with Fortune 500 companies about human resource-related financial benchmarking.
Bigos’s clients included Sears, Roebuck and Co., PepsiCo, Dell Computer and Kmart. He has a BA from Shimer College and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University). He lives in Denver, CO.
